Mabuhay (welcome)!

We are Mark and Chared, a Dutch / Filipino couple. Although we live in the Netherlands, we love going to the Philippines regularly to enjoy its many different facets.

Chared worked as News Reporter for the government network and spent many years covering the tourism office and headwriting for the “WOW Philippines” television program (“WOW Philippines” was the slogan of the Philippine Tourism Agency under Former Tourism Secretary Richard Gordon). With this, she learned about many nice spots in the Philippine islands. However, we both noticed that it can be quite hard to find decent information about traveling the Philippines.

Every time we went to the Philippines, we had to do a lot of research to find out where to go and how to get there. Moreover, when you are from the west, Filipino customs can be difficult to understand. Some knowledge about the Philippine culture can be very useful if you have friends or a partner living there.

So we both thought it would be great if there was a website that could help people easily find their way in the Philippines. The result is the website you are viewing now.
